Copying a checklist, Updating a checklist
Copying a checklist copies all the items into a new checklist that belongs to you. A reference is made to the original checklist, and you can always check back in with the original checklist easily. 👀
Updating from the original checklist 📲
When the original checklist updates, an update button will pop up in your copy of the checklist, and you'll be able to review, and customize the update before you accept the update.
What happens if the original checklist is deleted, or privated? 🙈🙊🙉
Don't worry, your copied checklist is safe, and will no longer receive updates from the original checklist. Do note that due to this, if you've made any public checklists, and it's been copied by another user, you won't be able to have control over the copied checklist.

Deleting a checklist accidentally
Checklist deletions are irreversible. If you've accidentally deleted a checklist that is important, contact us at [email protected], and we will review your case, and see what we can do. We do not guarantee being able to undo the deletion.

Formatting Text
Formatting text is available in items, texts, and headers. Simply surround the text you'd like to format with the proper tag, and that's it! Links are automatically formatted, so you don't need to worry about them. You don't need to use these tags, but they sure do make your checklists prettier.
e.g. If you want to bolden some text:
<b>Chocolate milk or plain milk?</b>
will appear as:
Chocolate milk or plain milk?

Tickmap (Checklist Maps)
Tickmaps are maps of checklists based on a checklist's recommended "before" and "after" checklists added by the checklist creator. In other words, it shows a map of which checklists the checklist's owner thinks is best for you to go through before, and after the checklist you're viewing. A map is updated whenever you add, or remove a checklist from the "recommended checklists" section.
Q: What is the "before" and "after" based on?What comes before and after a checklist depends on what the checklist owner themselves have added in to a checklist's recommended section. i.e. if another user who owns another checklist decides to put a checklist you've made in their recommended section, their checklist won't show up in your checklist's map. Only you(the checklist owner) can add items to your own checklist.

What makes a good checklist?
Here's a quick guide on how to make a great checklist on Tickables:
This has been our idealogy on how good checklists are made. These are the marks of a great checklist:
- Contains one independent concept that can stand on their own. e.g. a checklist about driving a car should not do a deep dive on singular car components that are unrelated to "simply driving a car", such as a sparkplug.
- Covers all necessary steps in the checklist's topic.
- Each item should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete, items broken down as far as possible
- The title, and implicitly, the theme of a checklist, should be able to cover the entirety of the topic(s) in the checklist(nothing off-topic)
- Have clear prerequisites, and next steps. To help you do this, we've equipped every checklist with a "Recommended Checklists" section! View roadmaps for checklists visually through our Tickmaps.
